Get Festival Ready for 2017

It’s spring! Time to start preparing for those spring/summer music festivals that we all love. Even if you aren’t lucky enough to attend the festivals, it’s still great to hear all the gossip and catch up on the performances online.

So which festivals will you be attending this year?

Boomtown, Winchester: 10th-13th August 2017

The headliners at this year’s Boomtown will be Madness, Damian Marley and Fat Freddy’s Drop.

Boomtown is full of a mixture of musical genres, so you could be chilling listening to some folk songs one minute and then some drum & bass the next.

Bestival, Isle of Wight: 7th-10th September 2017

The headliners at this year’s Bestival will be The Cure, Major Lazer and Hot Chip.

Bestival is full of weird and wonderful things. Their legendary late night mischief, pianos appearing in the woods, lit-up lakesides and mass fancy dress. You’re sure to have the best time at Bestival.

Creamfields, Daresbury: 24th-27th August 2017

The headliners at this year’s Creamfields will be Calvin Harris, Avicii, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

Creamfields attracts tens of thousands of people each and every year. It is perfect for those who love dance music, along with amazing visuals and lighting.

Boardmasters, Newquay: Dates to be announced

The headliners at this year’s Boardmasters will be Chase & Status, deadmau5, Catfish and the Bottlemen

Not only is Boardmasters location absolutely perfect on the south coat of England but it mixes the best boarders in the world. From surfers, to skaters – with BMX kings. You’ll hear all kinds of music, from dance, folk and pop favourites.

Camp Bestival, Dorset: 27th-30th July 2017

The headlines at this year’s Camp Bestival will be Fatboy Slim, Jess Glyne and Tears for Fears

Camp Bestival offers a whole load of silliness but with a twist: it’s tltally family friendly. It is set in a stunning English castle and it has everything, from face painting with music and comedy to medieval jousting. The first wave of confirmed acts include Underworld, Clean Bandit and Kaiser Chiefs.

Download Festival, Derby: 9th-11th June 2017

The headliners at this year’s Download Festival will be System of Down, Biffy Clyro and Aerosmith

Download Festival is the most hard rock and heavy metal festival in the world. The whole three days is packed full of the biggest rock names from the 70s up until the newest generation.

Glastonbury Festival, Somerset: 22nd-26th June 2017

The headliners at this year’s Gastonbury Festival is Radiohead.

Gastonbury is full of huge artists, although it’s not unusual for some to go the whole week without passing the infamous Pyramid Stage. It’s full of 24 hour shenanigans and has the tastiest of food stalls. It’s a festival that’s not to be missed!

Isle of Wight Festival: Dates to be announced

The headliners at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival will be Arcade Fire.

The Isle of Wight Festival is one of the UK’s first ever festivals and pulls in the world’s biggest guitar slingers, craftsman and women from pop and electronic genres. At this year’s festival you will see the likes of Fleetwood Mac, The Prodigy, The Black Keys and Pharrell Williams.

Reading & Leeds Festival: 25th-27th August 2017

The headliners at this year’s Reading & Leeds Festival will be Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foals and Disclosure

Bank Holiday Mondays are made for riotous events such as Reading Festival. It features a mix of rising and established indie acts, metal group, dance, hip hop and alternative pop bands.
